Written by: Hailey Goebel
The highly anticipated Oscars ceremony is just around the corner, with less than a month until the grand event.
The buzz around the most prestigious award ceremony in the entertainment industry is at its peak, and all eyes are on the frontrunners for the major categories.
"Oppenheimer" has emerged as the top contender with a whopping 13 nominations, making it the movie with the highest number of nominations this year.
However, "Poor Things" is not far behind, with 11 nominations, followed closely by "Killers of the Flower Moon" with 10 nominations.
"Barbie" has also made it to the list of top contenders with eight nominations.
The ceremony will be broadcast live in more than 200 territories worldwide on March 10, with Jimmy Kimmel hosting for the fourth time.
As with the 2023 ceremony, the Dolby Theatre at Ovation Hollywood in Los Angeles will be the venue for the 96th Academy Awards.
In anticipation of the upcoming Oscars ceremony, we will run through the nominees and share the predictions made by Backstage Features about who has the best chance of winning the coveted golden statuette on the big night.
