As soon as the doors opened, the audience was greeted with Pretty Privilege’s DJ set. The Montreal based artist remixed a variety of songs, such as 100 gecs’ “Dumbest Girl Alive”, PinkPantheress’ “Boy’s A Liar” featuring Ice Spice, and more. She warmed the crowd up for the next set.

mazie and her two piece band came on stage with full energy, and their set started off with “Girls Just Wanna Have Sex”. As if their spirit wasn’t enough, their background visuals were filled with colourful and psychedelic delight. mazie’s love for music could easily be seen by the crowd, and everyone’s energy was floating through the air. Her band members (Tani Kahn on bass and Joe Kelleher on guitar) played songs from the rainbow cassette and her recent project, blotter baby, while mazie belted the lyrics. All in all, the performers’ energies stayed throughout the thirty minutes, until the very moment they got off stage.

The crowd was anticipated to be graced with Rebecca Black’s presence. Her two dancers (Cj Jensen and Charles Fournier) were the first to step on stage, carrying Black on their shoulders. This moment was followed by an immense amount of screams and “oh my god”’s. Her set started off with “Crumbs”, off of Let Her Burn, with some others such as “What Am I Gonna Do With You” and “Misery Loves Company”.

I could spend so much time explaining how much I loved this show, but I’ll keep it simple… Black definitely pays attention to detail, and treats her show decisions with as much attention as her music. Between all the choreography, props, and stage presence, a Rebecca Black show is something you do not want to miss.

I had no expectation as to what a Rebecca Black show would be like, but man… was I impressed after the end of the night!
